COVID-19 Update From Masson & Fatini

As of March 19, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared that there were 209,839 confirmed cases of COVID-19 worldwide, resulting in 8,778 deaths. While the majority of these cases have occurred overseas, the US has seen an increase in confirmed cases as more testing is being conducted. As a result, increased public efforts to practice social distance to help slow the spread of the virus has occurred, many businesses have temporarily closed, and local government officials have temporarily banned any size of gatherings for the foreseeable future.  Though it is likely to continue seeing an increase in the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19, anti-viral treatments for the virus are being tested to produce an effective vaccine for the virus.
